Who processes your data

What data we process

• Identity and contact details: name, personal identity number, sex, age, email, phone number (if given) and address.
• Health data: height, weight, your answers to the questionnaire and attached test results.
• Surgery details: operation, date, surgeon and medical institution.
• Payment details: payer, amount, date and payment reference.
• Technical data: IP address, used briefly to protect the questionnaire from abuse.
• How you found the questionnaire (for example, a leaflet QR code), if the link you used to open it says so.

Why and on what legal basis

• Providing the consultation and preparing the assessment: performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Health data is processed for the provision of health care (GDPR Article 9(2)(h)).
• Sending the questionnaire and assessment to ARS Medical Centre if your surgery is there: provision of health care (GDPR Article 9(2)(h)).
• Issuing and keeping invoices: legal obligation (GDPR Article 6(1)(c), Latvian Accounting Law).
• Protecting the site from spam and overload: legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
• Understanding how patients learn about the consultation (for example, from leaflets handed out by doctors): legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). No cookies or other visitor identifiers are used.

The required questionnaire fields are needed for the doctor to assess your health safely. Without them the consultation cannot be provided. All decisions are made by the doctor; no automated decision-making is used.

Who receives your data

• ARS Medical Centre, if your surgery is there.
• The website and email hosting provider, which stores data on our behalf in the European Union.
• The bank through which you make the payment.

If your surgery is at another institution, you receive the documents and hand them over yourself. We do not sell your data or transfer it to countries outside the European Union and European Economic Area.

How long we keep data

• Questionnaire and attached files: until surgery. They are deleted automatically 7 days after the surgery date.
• How you found the questionnaire: together with the questionnaire. After that only an anonymous total remains (for example, “5 questionnaires from leaflets in October”) that can no longer be linked to you.
• Anaesthesiologist's assessment and questionnaire: kept by the doctor as medical records for the period required by law.
• Invoices: for the period required by the Latvian Accounting Law.
• IP addresses: no longer than 24 hours.

How we protect data

The questionnaire is sent encrypted (HTTPS). Data and files are stored on a server in the European Union, in a location with no public access. Only the doctor has access, and she signs in with her device's secure authentication (Face ID or Touch ID).

The doctor sends her assessment, the questionnaire and the invoice to the email address you gave in the questionnaire. Please give an address that only you can access.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct or delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format, unless a legal retention obligation applies. To use these rights, email info@anesteziologs.lv. We will reply within one month.

If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you can complain to the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (www.dvi.gov.lv).

Cookies

The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track visitors. Only cookies needed for the site to work are used.
